These days, more than ever, people make eco-conscienctious decisions. While that’s true, recycling something as simple as a bottle is often ignored. If it’s hard to believe, just take a stroll around the town.
And those blue recyclce cans. Can they look, a little less, say, trashy?
“Treasured Trash” is a project that makes you just that. “Treasure Trash” produced by a creative unit GIFT and Asyl Crack to demonstrate that “It’s not trash, it’s a resource. We want to stop to make valuable things become trash.”
As an article from PingMag puts it, “Recycling issues are often ignored, but if something gets designed with love, we might start to pay more attention again. Hopefully the joy of using something so carefully designed helps to solve the problem slowly.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Fellow reader-makers. Do you make things and/or art with recycled resources? Drop us a line. We love to hear from you about what and how you do! PingMag has a full report on the show. Please read.
