My last Aeolian Ride took me to Nova Scotia - where I met Francesca, Michael and team Willow - well most of them. Francesca and Michael were just moving out of their house where they and Team Willow have a gallery called GALLERY DELUXE GALLERY up in the crawl space above their back stairwell. You get to it via a ladder and a hatch. It looks just like a perfect mini gallery - because - well that is just what it is. And I heart it. Here is what they say:
Gallery Deluxe Gallery is a miniature attic gallery located directly above 6015 Willow Street, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Arguably one of the tiniest art spaces in the Maritimes, G.D.G. exhibits contemporary work by both local and international artists in a very unconventional setting. Though it is set up in almost every respect like a traditional gallery, the space itself is scaled down to just under 3 feet tall. 8.4 x 6 x 2.5 ft high to be precise.
